The Corner Cottage is situated in Annascaul known famously as a walkers paradise. This small Irish village is situated in the south west tip of Ireland, on the Dingle Peninsula. Annascaul is surrounded by breath taking scenery and is still very much a traditional Irish village. It is in close proximity to famous tourist destinations of Co. Kerry including Dingle, Inch and Tralee. It is the perfect place to have a country break while still being close to all the major amenities. Annascaul also functions as a tourist destination. It is the birth place of Antarctic explorer Tom Crean and sculptor Jerome O’Connor. The South Pole Inn Public House and the Connor Crean Centre both attract visitors. The Connor Crean Centre houses a tourist information point, resource centre and community office.The Corner Cottage is owned by Bride and John Kennedy, locals of Annascual who will be sure to give you a warm welcome while helping to make sure your stay in Annascaul is as enjoyable as possible.

  • The area boasts the highest density of archaeological sites and antiquities in the land. We have evidence of several periods of early development abounding in the area. The Neolithic Stone Age has left several cultivated sites. The Bronze Age has left us with megalithic wedge graves, Ogham stones, standing stones, and cup and circle stones. The Iron Age coincided with the arrival of the Celts and has left evidence in the shape of the hill, ring and promontory forts. The Christian period has left monastic sites, beehive huts and small beautiful churches.
